LITCHFIELD mayor
a STRONG team
Litchfield Shire needed a Mayor who can bring together a team that has the strength to restore and maintain a common sense approach to local government and local issues. A team that can rebuild the community's trust in local government and that will prioritise delivery of services that benefit everyone, all while managing a budget responsibly. Doug Barden has achieved this, and Litchfield deserves more of his common-sense approach to local issues that puts You first.
On the 23rd of August, Vote 1 - Doug Barden for Mayor of Litchfield

Lobbied hard to prevent the UCV rating system from being brought into council policy in 2019/20.
Lobbied to stop the Council purchase of the AllTools building at 9 Patsalou Rd. It was a bad deal and would have left the Council in debt.
